Exercise 4 and Storyboard

Bild
For this blog entry I tried to come up with 10 ideas of manifesting my work in an exhibition. I'm not really sure about this ideas, because I still don't know which direction to go considering I have to narrow down the topic. There's also the problem of mediating and communicating the content of the written work in a physical exhibition.  moodboard Some thoughts about the storyboard I planned:  If I tackle the topic as a "solution for a problem(the wine is illegal)" approach the problem is that at the moment I'm not seeing a clear cut solution and I'd have to do more research to come up with a "prototype" for the problem solving. So this lack of a mock-up makes it difficult to bring it in a video format.

Exercise 2 & 3

For the exercises  2 & 3 I kinda messed up. During the search for the most relevant subjects I fell into a research rabbit hole. Instead of bringing stuff(visuals, collages would’ve been helpful) on the table, as it was advised by the mentors, I just read and read. Thousand open tabs of relevant written things. Some highlights of my research: Luginbuhl, Yves, Howard, Peter, & Terrasson, Daniel. (2016). Landscape and sustainable development : The French perspective. London: Routledge. Interesting comparison between different wine regions within the EU especially in relation to UNESCO-sites. -highlights possible conflicts https://issuu.com/thetokajijournal/docs/thetokajijournal_2011-2012/14  Somogyi, G. Start of BA Thesis Concept Seminar 2021

During this Seminar the goal is to go through the whole process of the BA thesis in only two weeks. To start the process there'll be three exercises.  The very first exercise was about coming up with 20 different ways of looking at the topic we've chosen. The outcome of my second proposition was that I was stuck with too many possible ways of tackling the subject chosen. So I took the opportunity to sketch out the things I had in mind. I ended up defining the categories "focuspoints" and "methodologies"(what I often describe as the "approach angle").  Arranging them in rows and columns. As a critic of this very first exercise the mentors I got following input: - As a designer I should always take objectivity seriously - There is already a rich history of similar struggles from different regions available, where grassroot movements took place. (France, Italy -> labeling, other example is the natural wine movement) - Workshops and hands on experi
